HOMEPORT |
 |
 |

The homeport is on the Aquinnah side of Menemsha, which is right on the banks of the
Menemsha channel overlooking beautiful West Basin, Menemsha and Quitsa Ponds.
"Across the channel on the Menemsha Village side are my other private
docks," says Captain Buddy. "Located at the most convenient place, it's
only a 5 to 10 minute ride to the best fishing on Martha's Vineyard - we
are surrounded by deep waters, numerous drop-offs and countless fishing
holes. Whether it's Gay Head, the North Shore, the Elizabeth Islands, from
Cuttyhunk to Nomans, or Squibnoket... even to the canyons, I'm in the Heart
of Striped Bass Heaven & right nextdoor to the Offshore Big Game Fish Paradise."
Aside from the best fishing you can get, you can enjoy the unbelievable vistas of the west
end of the Vineyard, from the channel and the quaint fishing village of Menemsha, to the
breathtaking, rugged shoreline and cliffs, to the crystal clear water of the Vineyard Sound,
not to mention some of the best sunsets on the planet!!
Upon arriving back at the dock when the charter is over, Capt. Vanderhoop
fillets and packages your catch and bids you farewell. But your day doesn't
have to end there. Buddy's dock is conveniently located near the heart of
"downtown" Menemsha, where you can get a bite to eat at the Galley
restaurant or take a stroll through the local shops.
