The bass fishing is really good with lots of big fish showing up averaging from 20 to 40 pounds. The tuna fishing has bee phenominal, lots of bluefin tuna to the East, and a huge bite is on at the canyons for Large yellowfin and big eye tuna.
Fishing Season 2008
The fish report is the stripers are here and we're catching them up to 25 lbs. Bluefish are quite thick
also ranging from 5 to 12 lbs. The black seabass are here 3 to 8 lbs, as well as the tautog - real nice fish
and they range just about the same size as the seabass.
The bluefin tuna are right around the corner, they're crushing them at Hudson canyon and I suspect them to be within range about the 1st week in June.
